The Educational Proposal

The Aleardo Aleardi Institute is divided into two sections offering in the first an international study course, and in the second, an Italian study course following the Italian national education programmes. Each runs right through from nursery school to primary school, from the first years of secondary school to high school with the new exclusive International High School. Both routes of study are taught by a professional body of specially qualified and experienced teachers. All qualifications have parity status for the Italian National Education System.

The various curriculum objectives are aimed at promoting comprehensive educational achievement that not only provides students with competence and knowledge, but also allows students to develop an ability to understand and assess the future challenges of the world they will live in.

The school has a strong international identity, with membership in the European Council of International Schools ECIS and accreditation by University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) as an IB World School.

The variety of courses of study available at high school allows the student a broad choice and encourages awareness of the many future opportunities open at university and career level.

The scholastic calendar follows an Anglo-Saxon model and therefore runs a short week with Saturdays free and also numerous integrated afternoon activities that offer students a diverse range of experiences including theatre, music and other special workshops etc.

Tutoring services are available for every class and classes are assisted in afternoon study.

The extra curricula activities offered include involvement in charitable events (e.g. Telethon) and voluntary services, meeting important cultural, professional and sports personalities, field trips, sports tournaments and study holidays abroad.
