International Primary School

The Aleardo Aleardi International Primary School is the only one of its kind in Verona, also recognised by ECIS, the European council of international schools and accredited to run the Primary Year Programme by University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).  This school is aimed at children from the ages of 5/6 to 10 years.

Aleardo Aleardi International Primary School is a bilingual school for students. The curriculum is a blend of the Italian and English systems, creating a coherent balance between the methodologies and approaches of both educational systems.

We aim to prepare the students for the challenges they will face in the future, not only by giving them a sound educational basis, in the primary years, but also placing this within a multi-cultural framework.

The staff are highly-qualified English or American-trained teachers, each with a number of years experience working with children from multi-cultural environments or for whom English is not a first language.

Through a wide range of diverse learning experiences, also including theatre, ITC, music, art, sport and environmental studies, the children are able to assimilate a broad range of linguistic skills relevant to the primary years objectives.

The children are assessed regularly during the school year to monitor progress with respect to international guidelines for language acquisition, and they can sit international exams.
